The Story of a Logo

We've all seen the lightbulb as an icon of ideas & innovation.

 

A symbol of those "ahaah" moments. A problem identified and solved, an opportunity hunted down and realised.

 

But to solve a problem or realise an opportunity, the idea needs to be actionable, it needs to be tangible, and it needs to 'fit' ... like a jigsaw piece.

 

It needs to fit into what we know and do so well right now, and (subject to signal strength of *Crystalball 3.0) solve for the future puzzles as best we can.

So the jigsaw piece also inspires action - To make it fit you have to move it, expend effort, make things align - nestle it in with other great ideas, because rarely is value created by one isolated idea. 

 

Ideas working together become solutions. Solutions with purpose. A solved puzzle. 

 

That's how you extract value from ideas, and achieve more than the sum of those ideas - by aligning them to current offerings, evolving customer demands, emerging processes, new technologies or refreshed operating models, and making it happen.

 

Because an idea only becomes a great idea if it compliments what you do & know now, effort is expended to get it done, and ensure its done right by careful consideration to 'fit'.

 

Then the idea truly adds value by more than the sum of the parts.

So what does it take to get it done, and done right ?

  • Intelligence - Creates our baseline, gives us information to build from, shows us possibilities

  • Insights - Reading & sensing the information, exploring possibilities to create the ideas for change and adding value, setting new benchmarks of opportunity.

  • Actions - Focusing on the ability to execute the ideas. Sponsoring, investing, testing, integrating, planning, resourcing, tracking ..... doing

​

  • Results - Setting objectives, mapping back to them during the process of change, measuring performance against those targets

​

That's what we bring to the table, and our logo is a simple representation of all 4 key components of what goes into making an idea ... a great idea.

Our font was selected to reflect the way we want to work & be perceived.

It's a sans serif font called "Poppins" - It's crisp, it's clean, it's clear, its honest, it's unambiguous, it's timeless.

It's intended to reflect our personal, plain and simple approach to presenting our written material, and is a constant reminder to keep those words simple, down to earth & representative of the writers character.

We want the community that reads our material to like and respect the writer, supported by a font that is semi-formal, slightly different ..... and slightly fun.
